തലക്കെട്ട് കണ്ടു പലരും ചോദിച്ചേക്കാം അലുംനികള്‍ക്ക് എന്ത് ബാധ്യത ? അതൊരു സേവനമല്ലെ എന്നുമൊക്കെ? എന്നാല്‍ മാതൃ രാജ്യത്തോടുള്ള രീതിയിലുള്ള കടപ്പാടും ബാധ്യതയും നമ്മളെ നാമാക്കി മാറ്റിയ എല്ലാ സ്ഥാപനത്തോടും ഉണ്ട് എന്നാണു എന്‍റെ പക്ഷം . ഏതാണ്ട് പതിനഞ്ചു വര്‍ഷമായ എന്‍ എ എമ്മില്‍ നിന്നും പന്ത്രണ്ടോളം ബാച്ച് പുറത്തിറങ്ങി.പേരിനു എല്ലാ സ്ഥലത്തും അലുംനി അസോസേഷനും ഉണ്ട് .പലര്‍ക്കും സ്ഥാനങ്ങള്‍ കിട്ടി.എന്നാല്‍ ഇത് കൊണ്ട് സ്ഥാപനത്തിന് എന്ത് മെച്ചമാണ് കിട്ടിയത്‌ ?ഓരോ യോഗങ്ങള്‍ കഴിയും തോറും നല്‍കുന്ന വാഗ്ദാനങ്ങള്‍ അല്ലാതെ കോളെജിനു ഒരു നയാ പൈസയുടെ ഗുണം ഈ അസോസിയേഷന്‍ കൊണ്ട് ഉണ്ടായിട്ടില്ല .ബാലന്‍സ്‌ ഷീറ്റില്‍ മരണപ്പെട്ടു പോയ നാല് കുട്ടികളുടെ പേരില്‍ ഒരു വര്‍ഷം നല്‍കിയ കാശ്‌ അവാര്‍ഡ്‌ മാത്രം.നന്നായി പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്ന ഒരുപാട്‌ അലുംനികള്‍ നമുക്ക് മുന്നിലുണ്ട് .ഫറൂഖ്‌ കോളേജിലും മഹാരാജാസ്‌ കോളേജിലും പോയാല്‍ നമുക്ക് കാണാം അലുംനികള്‍ക്ക് എന്ത് ചെയ്യാന്‍ കഴിയും എന്ന് .ഒരു ശൈശവ അവസ്ഥ്തയിലുള്ള എന്‍ എ എമ്മില്‍ പല കാര്യങ്ങളും ചെയ്യാന്‍ നമുക്ക് പറ്റും .അത് എന്തൊക്കെ എന്ന് നാം ആലോചിക്കണം.പന്ത്രണ്ട് വര്‍ഷം മാത്രമായതിനാല്‍ അലുംനികളും തങ്ങളുടെ കരിയര്‍ ഭദ്രമാക്കുന്നതെയുള്ളൂ എന്നറിയാം.ഈ പരിമിതികള്‍ക്കുള്ളില്‍ നിന്ന് കൊണ്ട് കോളേജിന്‍റെ അടിസ്ഥാനപരമായ കാര്യങ്ങളില്‍ ഇടപെടാന്‍ നമുക്ക് കഴിയണം.അതിനാദ്യം വേണ്ടത് സന്നധ്ധതയാണ് .

മുഹമ്മദ്‌ വളരെ സീരിയസ്‌ ആയ ഒരു ചോദ്യമാണ് മുഴുവന്‍ അലുംനികളുടെയും മുമ്പിലേക്ക്‌ ഇട്ടിരിക്കുന്നത്. ഓരോരുത്തരും സ്വയം ചോദിക്കേണ്ട ഒരു ചോദ്യം....എല്ലാവരും അത് ചോദിക്കുന്നുമുന്ദ്‌ എന്നാണെന്റെ വിശ്വാസം .... പക്ഷെ നിര്‍ഭാഗ്യവശാല്‍ ചോദ്യം സ്വയം ചോദിക്കുന്നതിനു പകരം നീ എന്ത് ചെയ്തു എന്ന് മറ്റുള്ളവരോടാണ് ചോദിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നത് എന്ന് മാത്രം.....
അലുംനി കമ്മറ്റിയില്‍ എന്ത് കൊണ്ട് എന്നെ ചേര്‍ത്തില്ല എന്ന് ചോദിക്കുന്ന ഓരോരുത്തരും ആദ്യം സ്വന്തം മനസാക്ഷിയോട് ചോദിക്കൂ ഞാന്‍ എന്ത് കൊണ്ട് ആദ്യമായി ഒരു അലുംനി രൂപീകരിക്കാന്‍ തയ്യാറായില്ല എന്ന്....
അലുംനി എന്നാല്‍ പേരുണ്ടാക്കാനുള്ള ഒരു വേദിയായല്ല പകരം സേവനം ചെയ്യാനുള്ള ഒരു വേദിയായി എന്ന് നാം കാണുന്നുവോ അന്ന് മാത്രമേ ഈ ഒരു സംഘടന കൊണ്ട് എന്തെങ്കിലും കാര്യമുള്ളൂ. ..
പിന്നെ നൂറ്റാണ്ടുകളുടെ പാരമ്പര്യമുള്ള ഫരൂഖും , മഹാരാജാസും നാം ഉദാഹരണങ്ങള്‍ക്കായി മുമ്പില്‍ വക്കുന്നതും ചെറിയ ഒരു തെറ്റാണ്. പതിറ്റാണ്ടും നൂറ്റാണ്ടും തമ്മിലുള്ള വ്യത്യാസം വ്യത്യാസം തന്നെയാണ്. പക്ഷെ ഈ വ്യത്യാസം ഒന്നും ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കാനുള്ള ഒരു കാരണമായി എന്നും മുമ്പില്‍ എടുത്തു വെക്കുന്നതാണ് ഏറ്റവും വലിയ തെറ്റ്. നാടന്‍ ഭാഷയില്‍ പറഞ്ഞാല്‍ അവര്‍ തേങ്ങ ഉടയ്ക്കുമ്പോള്‍ നമുക്കൊരു ചിരട്ടയെങ്കിലും ഉടച്ചു നോക്കാവുന്നതേയുള്ളൂ....അതല്ലെങ്കില്‍ സഹസ്രാബ്ദങ്ങള്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞാലും എന്‍ എ എം അലുംനികള്‍ ഇതേ പോലെ ഇരിക്കും ... ഒരു ചലനവുമില്ലാതെ ... ഒരു ചലനവുമുണ്ടാകാതെ......
പക്ഷെ നാം അതിനൊന്നും തയാറല്ല ... നമുക്ക് എല്ലാ കാര്യവും ചെയ്തു മറ്റുള്ളവര്‍ ചെയ്തു മുമ്പില്‍ കൊണ്ട് വന്നു തരും എന്ന് കരുതി ലോകത്തെ മുഴുവന്‍ രാജ്യങ്ങളിലും എന്‍ എ എം അലുംനികളും ഉണ്ടാക്കി പ്രസിഡണ്ടും സെക്രെട്ടറിയും മറ്റു ഭാരവാഹികലുമായി ചുളിയാത്ത വസ്ത്രവുമായി ഇരിക്കുന്നവരെ... നമുക്ക് വല്ലതും ചെയ്തുകൂടെ... പ്ലീസ്‌ .....
എന്‍ എ എം കോളേജിലെ എല്ലാ പൂര്‍വ വിദ്യാര്ത്ഥികലുമ് ഇതിനോട് പ്രതികരിക്കും എന്നുള്ള വിശ്വാസത്തോടെ ....

First of all the College Authority has to come forward for these type acivities. But i think our college authority shown their interest for an alumni association very recently, only because of the UGC policy regarding their grant and approval. So it will take time to become a well established alumni association...moere over every alumnae would like to make an association only for maintaining contacts....the rest is relating to our college authorities interest and efforts. we know we made an association kerala chapter very recently.. This chapter is the bese and back bone of every alumni associations of every colleges for co ordinating other chapter's activities. and it is very interesting we made all other chapters initially with out forming this primary chapter.That is why i told overseas chapters are formed only because of intersts of alumnies to maintain relationships and contacts. All other aids are by products of the co ordination between college, Kerala chapter and overseas chapters. So for any creativity first of all college has to take first step.As you know each and every alumnae in kerala were also very intersted for forming an association there.
That is proved in the first meeting of the alumnies. there was more than 100 peoples with out any official invitation from the college and only through mouth to mouth invitaion.

I think Kerala chapter started in the year 2005
Nam Alumni- Kerala started since 2003. MK Gafoor was the President and Shameem was the Gen.Secretary for that alumni. Myself was there at the formation of the first Alumni.UAE central Committee was formed on 2005.
There is no use of an alumni with out any activities. may be you are right. i dont know why before last two meeting i didn't received any information about that alumni. it may be because of lack of proper co ordination and activities....
